Trick or Treat with The ODD GIRLS!

We’d like to welcome you to
Some Odd Girl‘s 2nd annual Trick or Treat Halloween Hop

Thank you so much for joining us!  All of the Odd Girls have concocted a creepy little creation to inspire you today, and you’re invited to visit each blog to see what’s been brewing!   You might have arrived from Brianna’s blog – if so, you’re on the right track!  If not, you’ll want to CLICK HERE to get started, because you won’t want to miss a thing!

This tag was created using the digi stamp Witchy Mae & SOG Sequins too

We’ll be sharing some of these pretties on the Some Odd Girl blog over the next few days, but TODAY, we kick things off!  So you might be wondering what this Trick or Treat stuff is all about, yeah?  Well, in addition to amazing paper crafty goodness you’ll see at each stop, you’ll get tricks along the way, too!  Simple tips and tricks to little secrets we paper crafters have figured out that we want to share with you!

Here is an easy trick to glue on individual sequins.  Use a tiny dab of Stickles glue on your paper and drop the sequin on top of it.  If you use a bit too much Stickles no problem because it sparkles and works well with the sparkle of the sequin.  I like to use the Frosted Lace Stickles, but you could use any color. Also, tweezers work well if you need help picking up the sequins and placing them in the glue.  That also helps keep your fingers from becoming sticky.
and then there are TREATS!

WAIT, not candy corn... as you hop, you’ll come across some Treats, located at random Odd Girls‘ blogs.  We have some clear stamps, some Odds & Ends, some digi stamps and lots and lots of inspiration for you!  AND, as if that wasn't exciting already, we have a discount code for you!

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop, and if YOU have any tricks you’d like to share, we’d love to hear them!  There might just be a prize in it for one commenter who leaves us a trick!  Okay.  So have you got all that?  Are you ready?  Well allllll righty!  LET’S HOP!   Here’s your hop order:
And there you have it!  We will hop now through October 31st at midnight Eastern, and our winners will be announced back here on the Some Odd Girl blog on Monday, November 3rd.  Happy Haunting – I mean HOPPING!  :)  Your next stop is Katie!
And a very Happy Halloween from all of us at Some Odd Girl!

Magic Potion!

Would you like a nice cool drink?  You look so thirsty?  Well maybe pass on what Mad Scientist Tobie is offering.

This image is from Some Odd Girl, don't you just love him.  He isn't just for Halloween either so don't get trapped into thinking that.  But do join in our FaceBook Linky Challenge which is Spooky Halloween.  Costumes are required...see you there!

Darth Vader with bat wings?

Halloween for boys just isn't as fun for girls.  Costumes run on the ninja motif, or way too much gore. Well, one year our suggestion of not being a power ranger or ninja worked, he wanted to be Darth Vader.  He loved the costume and insisted that the cape was wings, bat wings.  hmm?! At least he has an active imagination.

This was created for the Cut it Up linky party at Paper Issues, Die cut Saturday - Cut file 001.  The cut file they provide for the party is AWESOME!  Love it!

Treat Bag!

No, it's not for Halloween candy, it's a treat bag for doggie treats!  If you know me at all you know that my family personally owns many dogs, and that I do a lot of volunteer work for rescues.  I can't tell you how excited I was when Some Odd Girl came out with this adorable Stamp Set Walking the Dog Piper.  It's me!!!  Well, not really.

I used a canvas bag with a draw string top.  It was easily lined with a regular sandwich bag, so no worries about greasy treats soaking through.  Perfect for those of us who regularly work with dogs and need treats on hand during the day.

Halloween Costumes!

I love digging through my Halloween stash, you just never know what you will find.  Like the bingo card from Jenni Bowlin, or the MAMBI Halloween sign.

I thought these were fun to use with the little Lawn Fawn critters who are dressed up to trick or treat. Who wouldn't like to see a bear dressed in a bee outfit, or a masked and caped owl!  Such cuties!

I am entering this into the Lawnscaping Halloween challenge.

ROAR - It's Tuesday!

This week at Some Odd Girl we have a whole bundle of new items to share with you. You are gonna LOVE these FAB new digis and cut files.

This card features the new Forest Fold Card cut file, a couple of sentiments from the new Loopy Sentiments V3 cut file pack, and the adorable new TRex.  Plus, I added Caveboy Tobie to my card.  I really felt that he and TRex would make great friends!

Also, we can't forget about the adorable, rascally, new Bandit Wizard!  Who can resist a cute little masked raccoon ready to whip up some magic!  Also, I used a couple sentiments from the Loopy Sentiments V3 cut file pack again.  I am so into these new sentiment cut files.

All these new releases are available today at the Some Odd Girl store.  Plus check out the creations from the rest of the DT featuring these adorable new releases on the blog.  Tons of great ideas!

Don't forget that we have our October Linky Party happening on the blog (look on the right side), and we have lot's of things happening at our FB community.  There are many opportunities to share your SOG creations and win.  We want to see and hear from you!

Is your school supply box boring?

I found this little suitcase out shopping somewhere and just new someday I would need it.  Well, why not a supply box?  There are never any cute ones available, pink, blue, green plastic - boring....I like mine much better.

I used the clear stamp set from Some Odd Girl, School Supplies. Quite fitting don't ya think? I can't forget that I also used paper from the Sunshine Sorbet 6x6 paper pad - it was a great match with the one blue side of the suitcase.  (Here's a little secret, I have already ordered my 2nd pad of Sunshine Sorbet cause I used ALL of my first one - I heart those papers)

I used Memento ink to stamp my 'supplies' and Copic Markers to color them all.  Markers used:  RV11, RV13, YR68, Y35, Y36, B000, B00, R08, R14, R24, E50, C01, C03.
